I-CAR announced that Liberty Mutual Insurance has been recognized as an Insurance Gold Class™ business at the corporate level.
I-CAR®, the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair, recently announced that Liberty Mutual Insurance has been recognized as an Insurance Gold Class™ business at the corporate level, a reflection of the organization’s companywide commitment to ongoing training of its appraiser staff.

“I-CAR applauds Liberty Mutual Insurance for achieving Gold Class status at the corporate level,” said John Van Alstyne, I-CAR CEO & President. “As the industry prepares for a tsunami of new vehicles containing new technologies and materials, insurance businesses that commit to ongoing training will be well-positioned to deliver strong appraiser performance and better customer service over time.”

Liberty Mutual joins an elite list of Insurers that have achieved I-CAR's Insurance Gold Class business recognition. With the addition of Liberty Mutual, Insurance Gold Class businesses now number eight, with four of the top ten P&C Insurers (as ranked by Best's) recognized as Gold Class for their commitment to ongoing Auto Physical Damage Appraiser training through I-CAR's Professional Development Program™.

The training that leads to Gold Class recognition can help insurance organizations improve claims accuracy, increase customer satisfaction, and further develop knowledgeable staff that interface more effectively with customers and repairers, and contribute to HR performance and incentive programs. To maintain Gold Class status, insurance companies must continue to train their appraisers every year so that they further expand their knowledge and stay current with changing vehicle technologies.

“Liberty Mutual Insurance is committed to helping people live safer, more secure lives, and we value I-CAR’s efforts to provide this superior training,” said Marc Castellucci, senior vice president, Liberty Mutual Personal Insurance. “As part of this promise to our customers, and in support of our efforts to work more effectively with collision repairers, we are proud that our appraiser staff has achieved the industry standard for appraiser technical training.”

Founded in 1979, I-CAR is a not-for-profit education, knowledge, and solutions organization designed to support the evolving needs of the Collision Repair Inter-Industry. I-CAR is focused on improving the quality and safety of auto collision repair for the ultimate benefit of both the industry and the consumer. www.i-car.com
