Axalta invites custom automotive artists to UTI campus for Fifth Annual Winter Panel Jam

Jan. 19, 2016
Axalta Coating Systems’ fifth annual Winter Panel Jam will feature outstanding pinstriping artwork produced onsite and live by a host of renowned artists who will dazzle attendees with their creativity and original works of art.
Pinstriping, the art of applying very thin lines of paint to decorate a surface or create special graphics, is most commonly found on automobile and motorcycle bodies.  Axalta Coating Systems’ fifth annual Winter Panel Jam will feature outstanding pinstriping artwork produced onsite and live by a host of renowned artists who will dazzle attendees with their creativity and original works of art. The event will take place in Long Beach, California at a new Universal Technical Institute (UTI) campus on February 1-2, 2016.

The Winter Panel Jam  attracts artists who specialize in custom pattern work, airbrushed murals, gold leaf and pinstriping.  The artists will use Axalta’s Cromax® basecoats and clearcoats and Hot Hues™ candy dyes and pinstripe colors to create custom art on hoods, miniature car bodies, pedal cars, and more.  Participating artists will compete to have their artwork named “best-in-show.”  The winning design will be awarded the recently unveiled “We Paint Winners” Radiant Red Commemorative SATAjet® 5000 B spray gun.
