Safelite Group contributed $10,000 to the Collision Repair Education Foundation.
Safelite® Group, a leading vehicle glass and claims management company, contributed $10,000 to the Collision Repair Education Foundation, displaying its commitment to the future of the collision industry. Safelite’s contribution benefits the entire industry as this enhances the Education Foundation’s ability to offer grants and scholarships to career and technical schools and colleges and the students attending these schools.  By increasing educational opportunities through this support, the students of today become tomorrow’s industry professionals and create a brighter future for the entire collision industry.

The $10,000 gift from Safelite will support the Education Foundation’s Collision Repair Education Campaign fund which allows the Foundation to provide its annual student scholarships, school grants, and the annual Ultimate Collision Education Makeover $50,000 school grant.

“Proper education ensures quality workmanship and helps enhance our industry’s reputation,” said Jerry Beigel, Senior Vice President of Safelite® Solutions, the company’s P&C insurance claims business unit. “We are happy to contribute to education of auto body and vehicle glass technicians through this donation.”

Collision Repair Education Foundation Executive Director Clark Plucinski noted, “Safelite as a company has a great history of giving back both through financial contributions and personal volunteer efforts.  The support of Safelite’s entire senior management team speaks loudly of the progress we have made with helping companies like Safelite to understand the value of donating to the Foundation. Safelite’s leaders understand that there is not just a benefit to the shops, but to the entire industry helping to build the bridge to employment for the 60,000 students participating in these programs.”

Industry organizations looking to assist secondary and post-secondary collision school programs and their students through monetary and/or in-kind product donations should contact Director of Development Brandon Eckenrode at 847.463.5244 or [email protected].
