SAFECars symposium coming to Chicago

May 16, 2014
The SAFECars Educational Symposium, which focuses on collision training and business skills, will be held May 30-31 in Chicago.

The SAFECars Educational Symposium will be held May 30 and 31 at the Schaumberg Convention Center in Schaumberg, Illinois. SAFECars with the support of AASP Illinois is hosting this two day event.    SAFECars: One Voice ʘ Collision Repairers for Consumer Choice, is a network of collision industry and legal professionals who abide by this mission: “To provide a resource for collision training and business skills so every consumer can receive a proper repair by a shop with the knowledge necessary to be paid for all the parts and procedures required for the repair.”

Confidence and Courage is the message of this inspiring line up of speakers highlighting the two day event:

  • Jim Hood- Mississippi Attorney General and President Elect of the National Association of Attorneys General
  • John Eaves Jr, Attorney at Law, Jackson, Mississippi, John Moseley, Clinton Body Shop, Clinton, Mississippi ,  Ray Gunder, Gunder's Auto Center, Lakeland, Florida and Brent Geoghan, Attorney at Law, Lakeland, Florida  will give details regarding lawsuits that have been filed throughout the country, starting in Mississippi. Eaves Jr's message is clear, “in today’s world, the collision repairer’s ability to complete a proper repair, in spite of insurer intrusiveness to control costs, is at startling proportions.”
  • Patrick McGuire, Attorney at Law, Chicago, Illinois, a respected advocate of collision repairers
  • Gary Wano Jr, G.W. Wano and Sons Collision Repair, Oklahoma City, will introduce ‘Manufacturer’s Certification Expense’

Kallemeyn, a fourth generation owner of Kallemeyn Collision Center in Lemont, Illinois states, “We are honored to work with SAFECars and bring this inspiring symposium to Chicago at this critical time in our industry – we believe we have an obligation to our legacy."  “We promise this will offer motivation, education, legal advice and expertise for all shops,” states Bill Byrne, “We all have the same problem and we can only fix it by working together.”  “It is time we make some changes – right now,” Byrne asserts.
