On Wednesday, August 29, five military veterans will experience a life-changing event – the presentation of a car to provide them independence and the ability to work and take care of their families – thanks to the National Auto Body Council, GEICO Insurance Company and four New Jersey collision repair shops.
The car presentation is part of the fourth annual NABC Northeast Golf Fundraiser, which this year salutes the “Veterans Drive Fore Courage” and provides a day of golf for local military veterans.
NABC Recycled Rides™ program, along with partners GEICO Insurance Company, which donated the vehicles; ABRA Auto & Glass- Pennington; Benner's Auto Body; Son's Prestige Collision; and Caliber Collision-May's Landing will present five NABC Recycled Rides™to five deserving military veterans, providing them much-needed reliable transportation to allow them to work and care for their families.
The veterans were selected by Community Hope - Hope for Veterans and the NJ Veterans Network. Recipients include:
- Tyler Caplan
- Christopher Fowler
- Michael Perise
- Patrick Chandler
- Dennis Callious
The presentation will take place at Mountain View Golf Course – Circle Drive in front of the club, in Ewing Township, NJ on Aug. 29 at 2 p.m.
NABC Recycled Rides™ is a unique program in which businesses representing all facets of the collision repair industry team up to repair and donate vehicles to individuals and families in need of reliable transportation. Since the inception of the Recycled Rides™ program in 2007, members of the National Auto Body Council have donated 1,800 vehicles valued at more than $24 million.
