PartsTrader integrates with DMI data platform

April 9, 2015
PartsTrader is developing an integration project with Digital Motorworks, Inc. to help dealers more effectively respond to repair shop quotes.
PartsTrader®, the leader in creating efficient and transparent procurement markets for the auto collision repair industry, announced today that an integration project is in development with Digital Motorworks, Inc. (DMI), a business unit of CDK Global.

The integration will help OEM automobile dealers more efficiently respond to quote requests from collision repair shops.  When responding to a quote request PartsTrader will automatically update inventory information and pricing from the dealers own Dealer Management System (DMS). This information will be displayed on the PartsTrader quoting screen so that dealers no longer have to access multiple systems to quote accurately. Prices will be updated automatically based on the dealers settings and allow dealers to better understand the profitability on a part by part basis.

For repair shops requesting a quote, the response from dealers using the DMI data services platform will be faster, and have greater accuracy in its quote components.  More accurate pricing during the estimating process will reduce estimate supplements benefiting both repairers and insurers. For the responding dealership, the integration will significantly reduce the time spent on accessing the information needed to respond to a quote and will have a corresponding increase in data accuracy including handling part supersession.

“With this integration with the DMI platform, PartsTrader continues to streamline the quoting process on both sides of the buyer and seller relationship,” said Dale Sailer, Vice President of Business Development.  “We believe that OEM automobile dealerships will see significant productivity gains and greater data accuracy in their quotes they send to repair shops.  That’s a win-win for both suppliers and repairers.”

“CDK is committed to improving efficiencies and streamlining workflows using data integration,” said Jeff Nosek, Vice President of Sales, CDK Global.  “Integrating the DMI platform with the PartsTrader application will help us accomplish that for dealers and their collision repair partners.”

Integration development is currently underway and a release date with additional information for dealers who want to enable the integration will be announced at a future date.  For more information about PartsTrader, visit http://partstrader.us.com.  For additional information regarding DMI, visit www.digitalmotorworks.com.
