Kent Automotive, a brand of Lawson Products, Inc., (NASDAQ:LAWS) and a leading distributor of high-performance products and inventory management solutions to collision centers, automotive OEMs, and new and used car dealerships announced Honda has awarded Kent 49 product endorsements covering 10 categories. The OEM recommended products include seal sealers and adhesives, plastic repair products, corrosion protection and sound dampening items used in collision and auto body repair in Honda and Acura vehicles.
The Kent products are specified in the recently released Honda Service Bulletin 18-134 and Acura Service Bulletin 18-070.
Kent Automotive products that meet OEM specifications and high-performance standards receive endorsements that may appear in OEM repair manuals and Service Bulletins issued by auto manufacturers. Among Honda’s OEM recommended products is Kent P10491 Flex-E-6000 seam sealer. This fast-curing two-component seam sealer is 10-times stronger than ordinary one-part sealers.
“Honda’s focus here is in helping dealerships, collision repair centers and other auto repairers fix cars the correct way,” said Matt Brown, senior vice president, sales, Lawson Products. “Our sales representatives support that objective with weekly or monthly onsite visits with customers. They meet with auto body technicians to discuss which Kent products save time and money and are best suited for their repairs, and to demonstrate safe and effective product application and use.”
The Honda recommendations add to nearly 100 Kent Automotive products with endorsements from Ford and General Motors. Kent customers can look for OEM approved and OEM recommended icons on Kent Automotive website product pages, in the company’s catalog supplement and other marketing materials, as well as on product labels.
Additionally, Kent recently launched a Service Bulletin Search tool on its website for fast and easy lookup of documents and OEM recommended and approved Kent Automotive products for repairs and servicing.
