The National Auto Body Council announces that asTech™, a new member partner of its growing membership base, has agreed to provide at no charge an inventory of asTech™ devices for NABC’s signature Recycled Rides™ program.
Highly trained repair professionals at NABC member facilities use “best in class” repair procedures and state of the art tools and equipment to ensure every Recycled Rides™ vehicle is delivered with a safe and proper repair. With advanced technology on modern vehicles, repairs now require sophisticated diagnostics and an understanding of vehicle electronic technology, which has added new layers of complexity to the repair process. Diagnostic repair plans have become a crucial part of the overall repair process.
Devices from asTech™, the leading provider of remote and mobile repair solutions for diagnostic and vehicle electronics will be made available to repair facilities participating in approved NABC Recycled Rides™ events. NABC member shops who request the asTech™ device as part of the Recycled Rides™ repair process will also have access to ASE Certified Master Technicians who will perform pre and post diagnostic scans using OEM factory scan tools at no charge. “We believe the addition of this service will be a great benefit to our members, our participating shops and most importantly the recipients of NABC Recycled Ride™ vehicles. Many of our participating Recycled Rides™ shops have a diagnostic process in place. For those members who do not have access to OEM factory scan tools this is a great option,” said Bill Garoutte, NABC President and CEO. “At asTech™ we are in the business of protecting lives. We know the NABC shares this same passion for their members, their customers, and the communities we all live in. We’re proud to be a member partner of the NABC and are excited about the good work we’ll do together,” said Dan Young, asTech™ VP Sales & Marketing. The NABC Recycled Rides™ program is an industry-wide program in which repair facilities, insurers, car rental, salvage and other collision industry companies team up to repair and donate safe, reliable transportation to deserving recipients. Since its inception in 2007, the program is quickly approaching 2000 giftings. In 2018, the Recycled Rides™ program is averaging one gifting per day.  Recycled Rides exemplifies the cornerstone of the NABC mantra “Changing and Saving Lives.” Repair facilities interested in accessing asTech™ devices for Recycled Rides™ should contact Dan Young at [email protected] .
