CREF, I-CAR have  collaborated to provide an updated version of the Snapshot of the Collision Repair Industry survey.
The Collision Repair Education Foundation and I-CAR have collaborated to
provide an updated version of the Snapshot of the Collision Repair Industry survey, which is now available for download. The survey provides data on both the business environment and the technician workforce. Over 500 collision repair businesses responded to the survey, representing over 2,300 technicians, and the survey provides unique insights on industry trends such as average age, incomes, entry-level worker task expectations, and more.

Collision Repair Education Foundation Chairman and CEO General Manager Partner of Professional Parts Group Christopher Northup noted, "The Snapshot Survey results dovetail nicely with the Collision Repair Education Foundation objectives, and current strategic vision of producing qualified, skilled entry level technicians. The survey clearly details the opportunity for a lasting career path with solid financial rewards."

I-CAR International Board of Directors Chairman William Brower said, “The information provided in the updated Snapshot Survey is valuable not only to high school and college technical school collision programs for recruitment and informational purposes, but also to current industry professionals as it displays a plethora of important data and trends. I would like to extend my thanks to both I-CAR and the Collision Repair Education Foundation staff for collaborating on this project in order to provide this information to the industry.”

The updated Snapshot of the Collision Repair Industry survey is available for download from the “Forms & Downloads” section of the Collision Repair Education Foundation’s web site or via I-CAR’s web site. This report of the survey results will be distributed to high school and college collision school programs across the country this spring, including an effort to distribute the information to school guidance counselors. Industry members with questions about the survey, or interest in supporting the Collision Repair Education Foundation, should contact Director of Development, Brandon Eckenrode at 847.463.5244.
