Collision Repair Education Foundation Director of Development Brandon Eckenrode noted, “The industry is invited to join us for the second annual reception to not only announce over $200,000 in support to collision school programs but also help showcase how the industry has come to the aid of secondary and post-secondary collision school programs, instructors, and students nationwide. Many within the industry may not realize the fact that the Collision Repair Education Foundation operates and is able to provide to support to this group exclusively through industry donors. This event is meant to showcase that support and say thank you for making it possible. Please consider joining us as we work towards fostering a new level of entry-level professionals for the industry.”
The goal of the Ultimate Collision Education Makeover grant is to honor a school that has been doing an outstanding job in educating students in collision repair, but needs some financial assistance to improve their program’s teaching materials and equipment. With strained school budgets, the Education Foundation and industry supporters have the opportunity to bridge the program’s financial gap and to make a difference in the lives of the students studying collision repair. As part of the Makeover grant application, schools provide an itemized wish list which can include any tools, supplies, and equipment that are needed by the collision program. Each of the 2013 winning schools will have their $50,000 wish list fulfilled through the Collision Repair Education Foundation and industry donors/supporters.
Additional details of the event will be made available as the date approaches however industry members are asked to RSVP for the reception by emailing attendee information to [email protected].
