Colors on Parade is happy to announce the Veteran Franchise Scholarship. Colors On Parade believes every veteran deserves a chance to be their own boss and own a successful business, so the Colors On Parade Veteran Franchise Scholarship was established to help make that possible.

The auto industry employs over 4 million people worldwide, making it one of the largest industries for job opportunities. With such a big advantage, the auto industry should be taking the lead in hiring veterans. Veterans have a strong ability to follow standards and systems, they maintain an aptitude for working in teams, and they possess the leadership skills required for business development. A 2012 USA Today article cited a study by The Center for a New American Security 70% of the companies that reported that veterans had leadership skills, purpose, direction and motivation, all of which made them attractive job-seekers. About half the executives said they were impressed with veterans’ character, trustworthiness, dependability, integrity and maturity.

Applications for the Colors On Parade Veteran Franchise scholarship will be collected beginning October 1st through December 15, 2018. Chosen applicants will be awarded a Colors On Parade Franchise valued at $5,000. Included in the franchise is two weeks of intensive training and business training at the corporate office in South Carolina, and a three-month paid apprenticeship working in the field. Once training is complete, winners will have an opportunity to open their franchise in one of Colors On Parade’s 52 territories across the United States. Applicants are encouraged to apply online at
