The Community of Automotive Professionals announced CarFest 2017 will take place April 1-2 at Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio, Texas.
The 2016 inaugural event provided industry youth education, professional training and focused on giving back to the community.
Industry trainers taught automotive education classes for both consumers and industry professionals. Local and regional Boy Scouts participated in their pursuit of an automotive merit badge.
More than $100,000 in cash and products was gifted to four vocational schools, and 28 vehicles were repaired and gifted to 28 families through the participation of event sponsors and donors.
CarFest held free drawings and gave away 11 vehicles during the two-day event. For more information, visit carfestsa.org.
