The Nashville I-CAR Volunteer Committee recently raised more than $15,000 for the Collision Repair Education Foundation during the group’s annual golf fundraiser in Mount Juliet, Tenn. The funds raised at the outing will be reinvested back into collision school programs and students in the Nashville area through grants and student scholarships from the Collision Repair Education Foundation.

The event took place on May 15, 2013 at the Windtree Golf Club.  The 100 participating golfers enjoyed lunch, a round of golf, snacks and beverages on the course, and dinner.  They also had the opportunity to partake in a putting contest, closest-to-the-pin contest, and raffle drawing.  Instructors and students from local collision schools were also in attendance and got the chance to speak with the donors who support their school.  Many industry volunteers and corporate sponsors helped make this event possible, including:

Brandon Eckenrode, Director of Development for the Collision Repair Education Foundation notes, “I would like to congratulate the I-CAR Nashville Volunteer Committee for their continued work in helping local collision school programs and students. Their ability to come together as inter-industry professionals is a great display of generosity and commitment. The Collision Repair Education Foundation looks forward to working together with this group in the future and our many thanks to all the committee members, sponsors, and golfers that made this fundraiser a great success.”

“As State Chairman for Tennessee I would like to thank all of the Nashville committee members along with all of our great industry supporters who came together to make this event a huge success. I am very proud of their efforts to support our industry and the education programs in the area. Due to their efforts we will be able to help some of the schools fulfill their needs with equipment and supplies. This was truly a great result when you consider this was the first golf outing the Nashville committee had been a part of,” stated I-CAR Nashville Committee Chairman Wayne Griffin.
