3M honors military veteran collision shop professionals, collision repair students on Veterans Day weekend

This weekend, 3M AAD is recognizing veteran employees and students from the collision repair industry and the body shop owners and collision repair educators with a special trip to the NASCAR® race in Phoenix on November 12.
At the recent NASCAR race at Phoenix International Raceway, a select group of veterans were honored with a very unique Veterans’ Day weekend, courtesy of 3M Automotive Aftermarket Division.
3M Automotive Aftermarket Division has had a long-standing commitment to giving back to the men and women who have served.  3M AAD also believes that our nation’s military veterans make great employees for the collision repair industry. During the race weekend, 3M AAD recognized veteran employees and students from the collision repair industry, body shop managers and collision repair educators during a special trip to the NASCAR® race in Phoenix  on November 12. “Programs like 3M Hire Our Heroes help us remember our military soldiers and let them know that there are still organizations that care about them and their service,” said Keith Kuhn, instructor at Tennessee College of Applied Technology at Knoxville.  “Spending time with the all of the 3M Hire Our Heroes grant recipients, other instructors, collision shop owners and managers, and the 3M team was priceless.”

Since 2013, the 3M Hire Our Heroes program has generated $825,000 to be used toward scholarships and tool grants for military veterans and their family members. Nearly 270 military veterans and their families have already received scholarships and grants.About the 3M Hire Our Heroes The 3M Hire Our Heroes grants are available for qualifying returning veterans and family members.  Grants may be used for tuition, school fees, tools, textbooks and equipment at qualifying technical schools.
