The National Auto Body Council and ABRN will join forces in recruiting applicants and nominations for three awards programs — NABC’s Award of Distinction and the Body Shop Image Award and ABRN’s Top Shops Contest.

While NABC and ABRN’s awards programs each distinctively focus on different aspects of the industry, both share a common goal to honor exceptional and extraordinary efforts by individuals or collision shops. By collaborating on cross promotion opportunities, NABC and ABRN’s goal is to bring greater awareness to each other’s awards programs and encourage both past and first-time applicants to submit nominations for the awards program best suited to their accomplishments.

NABC’s awards program recognizes individuals and collision industry facilities whose contributions benefitted their local communities. The Award of Distinction celebrates individuals or groups who through selfless efforts, made a positive impact outside the collision industry. Any individual, business organization or group in a collision-industry related segment, such as a collision repair facility, vehicle manufacturer, supplier, vendor, educator, insurer, independent appraiser or trade association is eligible to be nominated.

NABC’s Body Shop Image Award calls attention to the beneficial impact an attractive, well-designed facility can have on its surrounding community. Any shop completing a remodeling during the 2014 calendar year is eligible to be nominated.

As part of its 2014 recognition program, NABC plans to call attention throughout the year to outstanding individuals and body shops whose extraordinary efforts make a positive impact in their communities and the collision industry.

The ABRN Top Shops Program aims to honor outstanding collision repair shops across the country. Ten winners are selected, with one shop taking the title of Top Shop. Entrants are evaluated through an assessment of the overall shop business and practices, including shop management, marketing, social media efforts, website presence, and industry and community involvement.

NABC will announce its award winners at the CIC Conference during the SEMA Show in November in Las Vegas.

All 10 of ABRN’s selected Top Shops and NABC’s Award of Distinction and Body Shop Image Award winners will be featured in the December 2014 issue of ABRN.
