GoldenWest Lubricants and Prolong Re-Sign For 2008 Twilight Cruise Sponsorship at Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum

For the second consecutive year, GoldenWest Lubricants and its Prolong brand will be the title sponsor for the Prolong Twilight Cruise Nights at the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum, presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California.

Beginning on April 2,2008 the Prolong Twilight Cruise Nights are scheduled to be held on the first Wednesday night of each month through December, with two exceptions. There will be two cruises in August and none in September due to the Los Angeles County Fair which is held at an attached venue. The popular events feature free admission to the Museum, and a chance to see hundreds of street rods, hot rods and muscle cars in the parking lots.

In addition to April 2, the dates for 2008 are May 7, June 4, July 2, August 6 and August. 27, October 1, November 5th and December 3 when the Museum holds its annual charity toy drive.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary and named for the founder of the National Hot Rod Association, the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California houses the roots of hot rodding. Scores of famous vehicles spanning American motorsports history are on display, including winning cars representing 50 years of drag racing, dry lakes and salt-flat racers, oval track challengers and exhibits describing their colorful backgrounds.

The Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum is open Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., PST. Current NHRA members are admitted free and Auto Club members enjoy a $2 discount. Admission for non-members is $7 for adults, $5 for seniors 60 and older, $5 for juniors six through 15, and free for children under the age of five. The Museum is also available for private parties, meetings, corporate events, weddings and special group tours.
