SPX Service Solutions to develop new vehicle interface module for Toyota Motor Corp.

SPX Service Solutions, a business unit of SPX Corporation, announced it has entered into an agreement with Toyota Motor Corporation to supply a new Vehicle Interface Module (VIM) for the Toyota Diagnostic tool.

SPX Service Solutions, a business unit of SPX Corporation, has entered into an agreement with Toyota Motor Corporation to supply a new Vehicle Interface Module (VIM) for the Toyota Diagnostic tool.

The new VIM, to be based on SPX proprietary vehicle communication interface technology, will be developed as a global tool and utilized as an approved diagnostic repair solution for Toyota dealers. The announcement was made at the Automechanika 2010 trade show taking place in Frankfurt, Germany.

SPX will provide a VIM that will meet both current global requirements as well as support future vehicles. As the new VIM is deployed globally, exclusive of Japan and North America, SPX will provide technical support on a regional basis to meet the needs of Toyota's worldwide market.
