Showpower 2011 – the Transmission/Undercar Expo – is set for March 17-19 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis.
Michelle Dickemann, Showpower coordinator, says that Indianapolis was chosen after a review of more than a dozen convention centers around the country.
Robert Jacobsmeyer, Showpower exhibit manager, pointed out that Indianapolis is within a day’s drive of more than half the nation’s population. Its airport is only 15 minutes from the heart of Indianapolis’ revitalized downtown, connected by skywalks to eight hotels with 3,200 rooms and Circle Centre shopping and entertainment complex with more than 100 stores, shops and restaurants.
“The Westin Indianapolis, adjacent and connected to the convention center by a skywalk, is the host hotel for Showpower, and we have arranged for a special rate for those coming to the show,” Dickemann adds.
Undercar seminars for the upcoming trade show are already being finalized, including “Why and How to Reset Steering-Angle Sensors on Today’s Vehicles.” Emission-controls updates and a segment discussing the advantages of selling performance products also will be included in the seminar schedule. Transmission technical seminars will emphasize proper diagnostic procedures and rebuilding tips from hands-on instructors with extensive experience.
In addition, Showpower 2011 will include a manufacturing-facility tour and exciting evening events.
