Kumho announces 10 percent price increase to begin in September

Kumho Tire USA, Inc. is raising prices up to 10 percent, with additional in-line adjustments, on its lines of car, truck and bus tires. The price increases will start Sept. 1. Kumho last raised prices in May.

Kumho Tire USA, Inc. is raising prices up to 10 percent, with additional in-line adjustments, on its lines of car, truck and bus tires. The price increases will start Sept. 1.

“Dramatic increases in the cost of raw materials and transportation necessitate this action,” says Rick Brennan, vice president of marketing.

Founded in 1975 and headquartered in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., Kumho Tire U.S.A is the American distribution arm of the South Korea-based Kumho Tire Co. In addition to its 830,000 square-foot headquarters and central distribution facility in Rancho Cucamonga, the company operates four additional distribution facilities in Atlanta; Chicago; Columbus, Ohio; and Dallas.
