Stepping up to the plate just in time for the playoffs, Hankook is offering another baseball-themed giveaway.

Much like the Spring Great Catch rebate program, which the company says was “incredibly successful,” consumers who purchase four select tires of any size from an authorized dealer between Sept. 1 and Nov. 30 are eligible for up to a $60 mail-in rebate – a $10 increase for the fall season.

The Ventus AS RH07 has been added to the product mix, joining the Ventus V12 evo, the Ventus V4 ES, and the Optimo H727.

To round out the program, the tire maker is offering a 2011 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 as a grand prize for entrants through a random drawing with no purchase necessary.

Information about both the Great Hit rebate and car giveaway will be posted online at www.hankooktireusa.com/greathit on Sept. 1 to coincide with the launch of the program.

“We had a tremendous response to the spring rebate offering and more than 39,000 entries for the Chevrolet Camaro Great Catch giveaway,” reports communications director Bill Bainbridge.

“It was outstanding,” he observes. “The Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 we’re offering this time is quite a car, and it gives customers another compelling reason to consider Hankook.”

The new product addition, the Ventus AS RH07, includes the SUV/Pick Up line, expanding the field for drivers. Hankook will now reach a larger audience with the inclusion as more vehicle types are now eligible for the rebate, according to Bainbridge.

The company will be promoting the Great Hit Rebate and the Shelby giveaway through advertising in high-traffic print and online consumer media

And, as the promotion will be taking place as Major League Baseball’s regular season ends, Hankook will be taking advantage of the media the playoffs and World Series provide with television spots on ESPN, ESPN2, the MLB Network, Versus, SPEED, MTV and TBS.

“These programs highlight our great products and great dealers throughout the country,” says Bainbridge. “We’re proud to be able to offer these incentives and the drawing again.”

He notes that the Ventus V12 evo “has continued to earn high marks from some of the leading automotive enthusiast magazines in North America and around the world.” Its MTR (Multiple Tread Radius) tread design and HPSR compound technology are among the features, providing precise control and responsiveness under extreme driving conditions, delivering superior water drainage for safe driving on wet road surfaces.

For all season capabilities in an ultra-high performance tire, the Ventus V4 ES has the control and comfort of a summer tire while maximizing traction and grip during moderate winter driving conditions with its distinctive construction and tread design, he says, backed by a 50,000 mile treadwear mileage and road hazard limited warranty.

The AS RH07 offers a smooth ride and low noise levels. As Hankook’s premiere SUV tire, it was the first tire in Korea to incorporate six main grooves for better water drainage and greater stability, Bainbridge continues. “The result is a superior tire that keeps its traction, regardless of the driving conditions.”

The Optimo H727 is specifically designed for today’s luxury sedans, providing superior tread life and ride comfort with the promise to perform under wintery weather conditions, bringing traction and responsiveness to all seasons. The H727 is backed by a 100,000 mile treadwear mileage and road hazard limited warranty.
