Firestone Complete Auto Care has launched a new version of its Internet site, providing several new features aimed at taking the hassle out of shopping for tires, service and maintenance.

“Our new Web site educates consumers about tires, vehicle maintenance and repairs to help them better understand their vehicles and how they operate,” explains Jim Stahulak, manager of internet/database marketing for Bridgestone-Firestone Retail & Commercial Operations, the parent company of the tire and repair outlets. “We understand that it’s not easy having your vehicle out of operation for service. That’s why our Web site provides consumers with convenient ways to shop for tires and make appointments at their local Firestone Complete Auto Care stores.”

As soon as surfers enter the site, they are introduced to the services rendered – maintenance, repairs and tires. The pages allow visitors to easily schedule appointments online and have maintenance reminders and special promotions automatically delivered to their email inboxes.

Just as proper footwear is important for comfort and correct body alignment, appropriate tires are vital to the overall performance and handling of a vehicle, thus the site lets viewers identify the proper tires for their vehicles, find a vehicle’s recommended tire pressure and browse information on tires, pricing and technology. Visitors can instantly receive a quote on tires and make an online appointment to have them installed.

Viewers can view their vehicles’ specific maintenance schedules and sign up to receive maintenance reminders. Visitors will also learn about different types of maintenance, including air conditioning, transmission and radiator services, tune-ups, oil changes and inspections.

In the repair section of the site, visitors will learn the difference between vehicle maintenance and repairs. They will also learn about repairs for various parts of the vehicle, including the brakes, engine, steering and suspension.

In addition to maintenance, repairs and tires, consumers can conveniently locate the nearest store and find out about the programs and organizations that the company supports throughout the country.
