New release from Uniroyal expands its financial advice campaign

Uniroyal and its family financial expert, Kim Danger, have partnered to produce a new e-book entitled "America's Most Pressing Savings Questions."

It is available free for downloading at the company's website.

Danger is the founder of Mommysavers.com and also the author of “Instant Bargains” and “1,000 Best Baby Bargains.” Her tips and interviews have been featured in national and local media across the country, including Essence, Parenting, Woman’s Day, Redbook and CBS’ “The Early Show.”

Practical hints from Danger and Uniroyal in the latest project include:

• Keep your receipts from stores you frequent and ask for price adjustments on previously purchased items that go on sale.

She goes on to note that Bankrate.com offers a variety of retirement calculators to help you figure out what you’ll need to save to be able to move from the office to your easy chair. Avoid debt elimination scams by working directly with your credit card company to pay off your card balance.

“The expense of traveling is often high, but don’t let that deter you from leaving home. By thinking ahead and doing a little research, you can have a vacation that is fun and affordable,” she explains:

• Don’t underestimate the fun of a traditional road trip. Take scenic byways, attend free community events and forgo chain restaurants in favor of local establishments. You might just find yourself on the adventure of a lifetime.
  
• You don’t have to be a slave to the over-inflated prices of amusement parks. Think ahead – buy discounted tickets online and pack your own food and refreshments.
  
• Find economical airfares by using flight search engines that compare the prices of several major airlines at once.
