The World Franchising Network has compiled and published its fifth annual list of the “50 Top Franchises for Veterans.”  Recognized for the dedication to providing military veterans with a strong business opportunity, Driven Brands, Inc. has been named to the 2014 list.

Respecting the value of military veterans in the franchise systems, Meineke Car Care and MAACO Collision Repair & Auto Painting currently partner with more than 40 veterans. Those receiving an honorable discharge from service qualify for a 25 percent discount on the franchise license fee with both companies. Since 2003, the franchise brands have offered more than $1 million in military discounts and remain at the top VetFran companies in the franchising industry.

“The steady increase in veteran representation within the overall franchising community over the last several years has been extremely encouraging,” stated Rob Bond, founder of the World Franchising Network. “It certainly is clear evidence of the intrinsic values, invaluable experience learned through life's lessons, and the exceptional work ethic of our military veterans. Hopefully, this trend will continue in the years to come so that these fine young men and women can test their skills in franchising."

The World Franchising Network selected 50 franchisors from over 300 companies requesting evaluation for inclusion in the article. Each participating franchisor was required to submit a completed questionnaire, which noted both the absolute number of and the percentage of the total number of operating units owned or managed by veterans, as well as the number of veterans in senior management that earned over $80,000 per year.
