Gold Eagle Co., makers of fuel stabilizers and ethanol treatments, STA-BIL® is unveiling an innovative new product from its revolutionary and award-winning STA-BIL 360° line, STA-BIL® 360° Oil Stabilizer, at the 2014 SEMA Show in Las Vegas. Utilizing its proprietary vapor corrosion inhibitor (VCI) technology, STA-BIL 360° Oil Stabilizer is the first product to release a corrosion preventing vapor that protects all internal engine parts both above and below the oil line. The new product will be available for sale in early 2015 and will be on display at the SEMA Show at the STA-BIL booth #21551.

“We continue to innovate and develop revolutionary new chemistry to serve our customers and are thrilled to reveal our first oil stabilizer in our industry leading STA-BIL line,” said Marc Blackman, president and CEO of Gold Eagle Co. “STA-BIL 360° Oil Stabilizer continues to build our category leadership position and goal to help protect and preserve the things our customers love from the inside out.”

STA-BIL 360° Oil Stabilizer contains ThinKote™ Technology that deposits a long lasting microscopic coating of lubrication and protection throughout the engine, including the camshaft, springs, pistons, connecting rods, crankshaft, bearings, engine block, oil pan and valve stems, both while driving and during storage. ThinKote also prevents dry start damage caused by lack of lubrication during periods of non-use and storage, which is when the majority of engine wear occurs. It also reduces friction better than other oil additives or oil alone, which results in improved performance and less heat and wear.

“Ethanol is most commonly known for causing issues with fuel, but it can also wreak havoc on oil,” said Blackman. “The new STA-BIL 360° Oil Stabilizer provides exceptional protection and controls water contamination caused by ethanol-blended fuels.”

STA-BIL 360° Oil Stabilizer handles water that can be trapped in the oil, due to ethanol-blended fuels. Water carried by ethanol can seep into the oil pan from the combustion chamber, and if left unchecked, can cause corrosion to many engine parts and reduces the oil’s ability to protect and lubricate. It also prevents thermal breakdown, stopping the formation of sludge and varnish, which can lead to clogged oil passages. STA-BIL 360° Oil Stabilizer can be used in any 4-cycle gasoline engine at a treat rate of 20% of the engine oil fill. It can be used with any viscosity grade or type of gasoline motor oil including synthetic, semi-synthetic and conventional motor oils. STA-BIL 360° Oil Stabilizer should be added at every oil change to help prevent wear, improve thermal stability, reduce sludge formation and prevent corrosion. It is not rated for use in diesel engines.
