The Rancho® brand – an iconic brand in the off-road industry since 1955 – kicked off its 60th anniversary celebration at the 2014 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas. The Rancho booth included a 2014 Jeep Wrangler JK and 1952 Jeep Willys that featured an array of Rancho systems, shocks and accessories.

First launched by Clarence Shook as the family-owned “Rancho Jeep Supply” in Los Angeles, the Rancho brand will celebrate its 60-year-long history rich in product innovation and involvement in the off-road industry during 2015. The brand – growing from a popular off-road and Jeep-specific parts supply business to the design of conversion kits, roll bars and safety belts for early Jeeps to the legendary suspension and ride control manufacturer it is today – has always been one of the leaders in off-road innovations and product designs. The Rancho brand also has enjoyed a history of involvement in the off-road community and its stewardship.

“It’s an exciting milestone for such a renowned brand,” said Chris Gauss, director, performance products, Tenneco. “The Rancho brand has been a leader in the off-road industry – through community involvement, product development and strategic global alliances – from the start and continues to adapt to this dynamic industry.”

Tenneco is the global supplier and manufacturer of the Rancho brand of suspension systems and components, shock absorbers, off-road protective equipment, specialty exhaust pipe kits and more for a variety of trucks, sport utility vehicles and Jeeps as well as a variety of specialty applications. A brand long identified as the aftermarket solution for Jeeps, the Rancho brand has been an industry pioneer since 1955. The Rancho brand is best known for its best-selling shock absorber, the Rancho RS5000™, and the world’s first adjustable shock absorber, the Rancho RS9000™XL.
