OTC is looking for your help to rename its Tech2Tech Forum, and the best name could net you a new scan tool.
Why is the company wanting to rename the Tech2Tech Forum? Well, the truth is the company reports that name is already taken. Even after a thorough trademark search and the company trademarked the forum logo, it found later that this same term has already been in use in the automotive market. So OTC needs to come up with a new name for the forum — hence an opportunity for our customers to participate in that effort and be rewarded for your creativity.
To participate, got to http://tech2tech.otctools.com/phpBB3/ and go to the Name The Forum category. Enter your name for the forum, and if you like, attach a graphic of what you think the logo could look like. (Legitimate names only.)
OTC says it will do the proper trademark research and then judge all the entries to come up with the best one that really fits the forum purpose: "Technicians helping technicians with tough troubleshooting problems."
The best name will will one of OTC's newest tools, an OTC3111 Scan Tool with ABS and CodeConnect™. Entries will be judged on originality, creativity and appropriate merits, and the deadline to enter is Sept. 7. Winners will be announced in the next OTC e-newsletter.
