With lift times of just 25 seconds up and 19 seconds down, Shockwave-equipped lifts' overall speed is further enhanced by the patent-pending Spotline™ laser spotting guide and a variety of quick-set superstructure choices that make Shockwave-equipped lifts faster and easier to set up, the company states.

Faster equipment in the service bay helps technicians be more efficient and productive. In fact, Shockwave-equipped lifts save technicians up to a minute or more per vehicle, letting them complete more jobs in a day and conduct more thorough vehicle inspections to sell additional work, Rotary Lift reports. A recent time and motion study found that Shockwave-equipped lifts can generate at least $3,259 in additional profit per bay annually. New SmartLift inground lifts or SPOA family two-post lifts can be ordered Shockwave-equipped. A Shockwave retrofit performance package is also available to upgrade existing SmartLift inground lifts. The retrofit kit includes new hydraulic cylinders, a battery power unit and controls, and Spotline laser.

“The Rotary Lift SmartLift inground lift and SPOA10 two-post lift are two of the best-selling lifts on the market,” says Mark Fitzpatrick, Rotary Lift OEM account manager. “They have been approved by all of the leading vehicle manufacturers and included in their dealer equipment programs for as long as I can remember. The new Shockwave package builds on the reliability and proven performance of these products to provide even more productivity.”

Shockwave-equipped lifts are battery-operated, with built-in chargers that run on 110V current. This patent-pending approach eliminates the need for expensive 230V wiring, reducing installation costs by more than 80 percent. Because the lift uses less electricity, daily operating costs are also lower.

Rotary Lift two-post and SmartLift inground lifts accelerated by Shockwave have been third-party tested by ETL and ALI certified to meet ANSI safety and performance standards.
