An impartial panel of the automotive press determined three winners from the new products featured at the Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS) Worldwide Trade Show on Feb. 6 the Caribe Royale Convention Center in Orlando.

Chosen as most innovative new product was the Control Valve Tester from Global Parts Distributors. Recognized for the best use of technology was Mahle Service Solutions for their R-1234yf recovery machine ArcticPro ACX 1280.  Honored for being the most service friendly new product was the Airsept Smart Splice Ultimate Line Repair System.

Global Parts Distributor’s Control Valve Tester allows the tester to interrupt and change the output of the control valve without impacting the vehicle’s electronics. The electronic signal to and from the compressor can be checked, using the vehicle’s battery for power.

Mahle Service Solution’s R-1234yf recovery machine ArcticPro ACX 1280, is certified to meet all applicable performance and safety standards in the stringent SAE J2843 standard. The ACX1280 features fully automatic servicing to ensure easy, time-saving and precise service on R-1234yf air conditioning systems in vehicles. What sets the ACX1280 apart from the competition is the option to purchase the machine with either an internal or external refrigerant identifier system.

AirSept’s Smart Splice™ Ultimate Line Repair System offers over 8,000 repair options for hose to hose, hose to tube, and tube to tube assemblies.  The versatile Ultimate System repairs air conditioning, coolant, heater, transmission, power steering and oil/transmission cooler lines on the vehicle, usually in five minutes or less.  AirSept’s OEM approved sealing technology is leak-free up to 2600 PSI, with no adhesives or special tools needed.

Beginning in 1981, the Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS) Worldwide has been the advocate for service and repair owners, distributors, manufacturers and educators making their living in the total vehicle climate and thermal management industry.

MACS Worldwide empowers members to grow their businesses and delivers tangible member benefits through industry advocacy with government regulators and by providing accurate, unbiased training information, training products, training curriculum and money-saving affinity member services.

MACS has pioneered and facilitated the certification program that has allowed more than 1 million service technicians to comply with the U.S. Clean Air Act of 1990 requirements for certification in refrigerant recovery and recycling to protect our environment. As of 2015, MACS has led the way forward with a revision of our Section 609 certification program to educate service technicians in the safe handling of R-1234yf.
