Snap-on has introduced a host of new sockets for a productive New Year. From 1/4" to 1/2" drive; shallow, semi-deep to deep; impact to specialty; the range of new Snap-on sockets will help techs tackle the daily tasks to come in 2018.

Among the many new Snap-on socket offerings:

1/4" Drive 6-Point SAE Flank Drive® Semi-Deep Sockets TMS04, TMS05, TMS20 – The new TMS04, TMS05 and TMS20 expand capabilities with these new size additions, and the Flank Drive®  wrenching system delivers 15-25 percent more turning power than previous models.

1/2" Drive 14 mm Subaru® Head Bolt Socket S6214A – Designed for cylinder head bolts in a majority of Subaru® vehicles 2005 and newer with horizontally opposed flat Boxer engines, the overall socket length is optimal for clearing valve train components and maximizing working space between the cylinder head and uni-body frame. The additional socket length also provides access when using proper capacity torque wrenches while the engine is still in the chassis.

3/8" Drive 6-Point Metric Flank Drive® Shallow and Deep Impact Sockets IMFM6_7, SIMFM6_7 – These sockets can withstand repeated cycling loads of impact wrenches due to their proprietary blend of special alloy steel and special heat-treating that results in a lower hardness than hand sockets. The Flank Drive® wrenching system delivers up to 20 percent more turning power without slipping or rounding, even while exceeding ANSI® performance standards.

3/8" Drive 12-Point Metric Flank Drive® Deep Sockets SFM20_2FM21 – This socket series SFM20_2FM21 size addition is manufactured from the highest-quality proprietary steel with a chrome/nickel alloy finish making it strong, durable and rust resistant. The Flank Drive® design grips the fastener on the flanks and flats rather than the corners to deliver more turning power than previous models.
