In Germany this week, Schaeffler executives spoke to journalists about the company’s heritage and the products and brands driving the company forward. They also gave booth visitors a chance to use 3D technology to learn about LuK RepSet 2CT, the new FAG SmartSET for commercial vehicles, and the INA expertise in the engine segment.

Using 3D glasses, visitors were able to steer a small spaceship through the interior of a passenger car engine, for example, to learn even more about the current engine components and repair solutions offered by INA.

Schaeffler’s Michael Söding, left, President, Automotive Aftermarket, and Dr. Robert Felger, Sr. Vice President Product and Marketing, Automotive, spoke to journalists about Schaeffler’s heritage and the products and brands driving the business.

“This kind of presentation gives us the chance to make increasingly-complex mobility understandable,” says Michael Söding, Schaeffler President, Automotive Aftermarket. “Reducing fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, while increasing driving comfort, is also a topic of importance these days for the automotive aftermarket.” The company has been connecting with distributors and repair shops to show them how Schaeffler can help them profit from mobility in a targeted way with products and repair solutions.

In the commercial vehicle segment, Schaeffler presented the FAG SmartSET, a new, ready-to-install wheel bearing repair solution. The SmartSET can be used to repair all trucks, buses and trailer axle types that use standard tapered roller bearings. Pre-greased, pre-assembled and given pre-positioned tapered roller bearings at the factory – this new complete solution makes a vital contribution to reducing operating costs and allows for quick and efficient repair.

Besides products and repair solutions, the stand highlighted Schaeffler’s service brand REPXPERT. Technical trainers have been demonstrating and explaining the repair process working directly with Schaeffler products at six workbenches. They also utilize the REPXPERT online portal at the same time and show how the online portal can mean added value to garages in their daily work.
