Fans of NASCAR legend Richard “The King” Petty won’t want to miss the Fourth Annual Petty’s Garage Car Show presented by the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) Oct. 10-11, 2014 in Level Cross, Randleman, N.C.

Fans of NASCAR legend Richard “The King” Petty won’t want to miss the Fourth Annual Petty’s Garage Car Show presented by the Automotive Lift Institute (ALI) Oct. 10-11, 2014 in Level Cross, Randleman, N.C. This year’s event kicks off with an invitation-only cookout at Petty’s home, Reverie Place, on Friday, Oct. 10. Petty will sign autographs during the car show at the Level Cross Petty Enterprises Historical Site on Saturday, Oct. 11, and admission to the show includes free entry to the new Richard Petty Museum, according to information from ALI.

The Petty’s Garage Car Show was previously held in the spring. With construction of the relocated Richard Petty Museum taking place on the grounds earlier this year, the 2014 event was moved to the fall.

“We have made several upgrades to the Petty’s Garage Car Show for its fourth year,” explains Mike Cormack, sales manager for Petty’s Garage, Richard Petty’s high-performance speed shop. “We have lowered the vehicle entry fee by $10, while at the same time increasing what you get for your money by including admission to the Richard Petty Museum and, for the first 100 to register, a cookout at Richard’s place on Friday night. Spectator admission to the car show on Saturday remains just $5 for full access to the show, grounds and Museum, including a two-hour autograph session with Richard. Kids 10 years old and younger get in free.”

Gates are open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, and judging begins at noon. Petty will sign autographs from 10 a.m. to noon (limit of two per person). The Richard Petty Museum opens at 9 a.m. The Museum features trophies, cars, memorabilia and more to tell the story of Richard Petty’s unmatched NASCAR career. There’s even a new exhibit for the kids, featuring Mr. and Mrs. The King and the Hudson Hornet from the Disney Pixar movie, Cars.

Some 200 cars are expected at the car show, including the ALI-sponsored Legacy by Petty, the custom Richard Petty tribute Dodge Challenger convertible that was unveiled at the first Petty’s Garage Car Show in 2010. There will also be music, food, and entertainment for the whole family. Spectator tickets are available at the gate.

Stop by the ALI display to learn about vehicle lift safety and enter to win Richard Petty Museum gift cards and a limited edition No. 43 scale model. ALI will hold hourly drawings from attendees who “like” its Facebook page, www.facebook.com/LiftInstitute, to win $20 gift cards to the museum. At the end of the day, one of the hourly winners will go home with the grand prize: a rare, limited edition Lionel NASCAR collectible diecast of the No. 43 Ford Fusion Aric Almirola drove at the 2012 Pennsylvania 400 at Pocono Raceway. Additional door prizes will be awarded.

The car show is open to all makes and models. The $35 entry fee includes show space for one vehicle, admission for two adults, goodie bag, dash plaque and museum admission (a $10 value). The first 100 car owners to register by Sept. 30 receive an exclusive ticket for two to the cookout Friday night at 5 p.m. They may also purchase up to two additional tickets for guests. More than 50 awards will be given out at the show.

Petty’s Garage Fourth Annual Car Show will be held on at the Level Cross Petty Enterprises Historical Site, 311 Branson Mill Road in Randleman, N.C.
