New crankcase and differential cleaner from Penray removes sludge, moisture

Even regular changes of lubricants and filters cannot remove deposits of sludge, gum, varnish and other contaminants that build up over time.
No-one doubts the importance of regular oil and filter changes, regardless of the type of vehicle they may own or service. And more knowledgeable folks also understand the importance of regular changes of the lubricant in other driveline components like the differential. But even regular changes of lubricants and filters cannot remove deposits of sludge, gum, varnish and other contaminants that build up over time. Such contaminants, along with moisture, can remain trapped in corners and recesses of crankcases and differentials where they can accumulate despite regular fluid and filter changes.

Now there's a solution -- Penray's new 7612 Crankcase and Differential Cleaner. This new product from Penray, Inc. is an innovative chemical blend that can dissolve sludge and other deposits, and actually collect moisture so that these contaminants can be safely drained out before they can cause damage.

Suitable for use in the crankcases of gasoline and diesel engines, as well as in differentials, this new blend includes a combination of solvents that dislodge crankcase and differential deposits so they can be removed by simply draining the oil. In the process, it also removes harmful deposits from valve train components, pistons, and piston rings, where such deposits could otherwise compromise engine performance and longevity.

Penray's new cleaner also includes a glycol ether compound that collects moisture that can accumulate throughout the crankcase or differential, which is safely flushed away when the oil is drained. Left untreated, moisture can compromise the lubricity of the oil, and can also lead to rust and corrosion on vital internal engine or differential components.

This new cleansing product is compatible with all gasoline and diesel engines and rear wheel or 4 wheel drive differentials in passenger cars, light trucks, vans, and SUVs. Also, it is compatible with all conventional and synthetic oils and lubricants, as well as gaskets, seals, and bearings.

It is simple to use. For crankcase cleaning, just add this product to old engine oil, allow the engine to idle for five minutes to allow the product to work, then simply drain the oil and add fresh oil and a new filter.

The procedure is similar when cleaning differentials. Simply drain or suction about 12 fluid ounces of lubricant from the differential, add Penray's new Crankcase and Differential Cleaner, and roll the vehicle forward and backward 20 to 30 feet to distribute the product throughout the inner workings of the differential. Then drain and refill with the appropriate lubricant such as Penray's Synthetic Gear Oils #3532 and 3632.

"The high cost of new vehicles and longer service life expected of them call for improved maintenance practices," explains Mark Kardon, Director of Marketing for Penray. "People commonly expect their vehicle to last 150,000 miles or more, and that is not unrealistic if their vehicle is properly cared for. But it's easy to overlook certain areas of a vehicle that can require costly repairs if they're not serviced properly and regularly."

"We recommend the use of this new Crankcase and Differential Cleaner in engine oil every 50,000 miles, or whenever the oil shows signs of sludge or other debris," adds Kardon. "The proverbial 'milkshake' in engine or differential oil is a sure sign that water is present, and is a sign that cleansing with our 7612 cleaner is called for."
