Matco Tools, a company with a strong commitment to the military, has launched The Colors of Freedom, a promotion designed to support the IFA initiative which went live yesterday. “This program is meant to offer our large audience of technicians and distributors relevant resources and educational information for Veterans looking for small business opportunities, especially for Veterans currently transitioning back to civilian life,” said Ernie Lauber, senior vice president of sales for Matco.

Identified as a top-ten franchise for military by VetFran, Matco Tools offers a rigorous training program with a minimum of 72 hours of classroom training and more than 80 hours of hands-on training in the field conducted over a period of eight weeks. In addition, Matco Tools provides at least 325 potential customers along with a pre- qualified list of calls with comprehensive training and support to service these customers and run a successful business. Ongoing, Matco has a network of support that helps veterans feel at home in the company’s culture. Matco has also recently increased its military incentive from $5,000 to $10,000, which is applied to franchise startup costs.

“By choosing franchises like Matco Tools, veterans have the opportunity and freedom to run their own business, with the backing of a powerful national brand,” said Lauber. “To date, Matco has helped more than 230 veteran franchisees find a new professional life with the company.”
