Get Your Shift Together contest from Centerforce goes live

March 25, 2015
Centerforce Clutches is keeping the art of the drive alive through the “Get Your Shift Together” video contest.

Driving a real car or truck — one with three pedals — is becoming a lost art. Parents used to pass this gift to their kids. Fewer modern cars have manual transmissions, so many drivers don’t automatically have the skills required to operate a real vehicle.

Centerforce Clutches is keeping the art of the drive alive through the “Get Your Shift Together” video contest. Centerforce fans and auto enthusiasts in general are invited to post learning-to-drive-a-stick videos on the Centerforce Facebook page.

“We conceived this contest as a way to kick-start enthusiasm for three-pedal cars,” says Bryan Wilson, Centerforce’s General Manager / Marketing Director. “Fewer new vehicles offer manual transmissions, but most of the exciting cars ever built have three pedals. Many younger drivers haven’t had the opportunity to drive a stick, so we decided to have an entertaining and educational contest.”

Stand-out submissions will be rewarded with official Centerforce “Get A Grip” T-shirts. On June 15, 2015, entries will close and Centerforce’s Facebook fans will vote for their favorite video. The winner will receive a $500 gift certificate good toward Centerforce products. See official rules herehttps://www.centerforce.com/home/gyst-contest-rules
