Fast Lube Plus Locations Receive National Motor Oil Matters Certification for Commitment to Quality

Dec. 27, 2013
Fast Lube Plus has announced that its five locations have become the first API Motor Oil Matters (MOM) certified motor oil installers in the state of North Carolina.

Fast Lube Plus has announced that its five locations in Cary, Apex, Holly Springs, Garner and Morrisville, N.C., have become the first American Petroleum Institute (API) Motor Oil Matters (MOM) certified motor oil installers in the state of North Carolina. MOM certification is a third-party distinction which demonstrates to consumers that a motor oil installer adheres to the highest possible industry standards and delivers only quality motor oils.

“One of the many things that separates Fast Lube Plus from our local competitors is the dedication we share with MOM to ensure our customers come first,” said Tom Benza, owner, Fast Lube Plus. “We have opened our doors and oil tanks to their independent testing to assure our loyal customers, friends and neighbors that we will only pouring high quality motor oil into their vehicles.”

In order to qualify for the American Petroleum Institute’s MOM program, install locations are required to demonstrate an ongoing commitment to quality, a dedication to accurate record keeping and transparency, as well as the confidence to submit to random audits to ensure only quality oils are installed in consumers’ cars and trucks.  MOM has recognized these five Fast Lube Plus locations for passing its rigorous requirements and dedication to consumer education.

“These Fast Lube Plus locations have demonstrated an impressive commitment to their customers by making sure they deliver only high quality, API-certified motor oils,” said Kevin Ferrick, API’s Engine Oil Licensing and Certification System manager. “By achieving Motor Oil Matters certified status, all five of these locations proudly display the MOM certified symbol, a sign consumers can look for and be confident that they will get the quality oils that meet the performance standards recommended by their vehicle and engine manufacturers.”

API recommends that consumers visit www.MotorOilMatters.org to find a Motor Oil Matters (MOM) certified oil change location near them, get informed about the vital role quality oil plays in their vehicles, and download the helpful MOM oil change checklist to take to their next oil change. Oil-change locations and motor oil distributors that share MOM’s commitment to provide high quality motor oils—and submit to independent, third party auditing— are the only locations that have the opportunity to be recognized by MOM through the Motor Oil Matters distributor and installer licensing programs.
