(DEI), is recognized as one of the most advanced leaders in the research, design and manufacture of thermal tuning products. DEI first introduced Protect-A-Boots™, a uniquely designed product that protects spark plug boots and wires against the harmful effects of direct and continuous heat – up to 1200°F. Protect-A-Boots have been well received because they protect spark plug boots and wires from burn-through, hardening or cracking caused from direct and continual exposure to extreme heat generated from the engine block, exhaust manifold and headers.

Now, by popular consumer demand, DEI is introducing Protect-A-Boot Sleeves for protection of boots with a sharp or 90° angle. Like the original Protect-A-Boots product, the Sleeves offer the same heat protection and double wall construction foradded strength and durability, yet are designed to provide a universal fit for extreme angled, oversized, or rigid boots like ceramic ignition wire ends. The 1-1/4” ID at both ends and pliable construction allow the sleeves to fit multiple angled spark plug boots. Otherwise the material is the same as DEI’s popular Protect-A-Boots that are made from a tightly woven high temperature resistant glass fiber material. Protect-A- Boot Sleeves are currently available in silver ineither a two-pack (part #010551) or eight-pack (part #010552) package.
