  Bosch’s updated Mastertech VCI (M-VCI) scan tool provides greatly expanded, in-depth vehicle coverage, especially for European vehicles, with its new ESI[tronic]™ 2.0 diagnostic software.

ESI[tronic] (pronounced “Easy-tronic”) 2.0 complements the scan tool’s award winning Shop Foreman Pro software.

“Combined with M-VCI’s flexibility and ease of operation, this software powerhouse gives the technician an unparalleled diagnostic and service resource for multiple vehicles, with one common interface,” said Ravi Subramanyan, Senior Product Manager for Bosch Diagnostics Business Unit.

The ESI[tronic] 2.0 diagnostic software provides:

• Pulls OBDII codes with 4 clicks 
• Quick module status check of the vehicle network
• Extensive bi-directional controls for engine, body and chassis systems
• Intuitive system menus to speed diagnostics
• Wide range of functions, including:

ESI[tronic] 2.0 diagnostic software in the M-VCI provides technical support for tester operations via technical hotline, and a free one-year diagnostic software subscription with the purchase of the M-VCI scan tool. The software covers domestic vehicles such as Chrysler, Ford and General Motors, and Asian vehicles such as Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, Lexus, Scion, Acura and Infiniti, and European vehicles such as Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Mini, Volvo, Volkswagen, and Smart Car.

A complete PC-based mobile diagnostics solution developed specifically for North America,  the M-VCI tool helps the shop owner by providing:
• Wireless PC communication allowing the technician the flexibility of obtaining technical information from third parties while diagnosing a vehicle, increasing technician efficiency.

• Two aftermarket software applications that diagnose many domestic, European and Asian vehicles.

• The same hardware platform adopted by many of the leading automobile OEMs, providing the ability to run OEM diagnostic applications. Currently M-VCI supports diagnostics with GM’s Tech 2 Win software. More OEM applications will be supported in the future.

• VCI 2 package which includes the M-VCI scan tool and USB wireless adapter with software that can be loaded on an existing PC.
