APRA to hold June electrical clinic in Kansas City

  APRA’s President William Gager announced recently that the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA) will hold its second Electrical Clinic of 2013 in Kansas City, Mo.

APRA’s President William Gager announced recently that the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA) will hold its second Electrical Clinic of 2013 in Kansas City, Mo., on Friday and Saturday, June 28 and 29. 

Gager stated, “We are excited to be hosting our second regional Electrical Clinic of 2013 in Kansas City. What better way to kick off the clinic than with a tour of Harley Davidson’s assembly line? Following the tour we will be treated to lunch at Romaine Electric’s local warehouse. We are waiting for confirmation of one additional tour to round out the day. We will then return to the Embassy Suites at the Kansas City International Airport for a reception and Mini Expo.” 

The Electrical Clinic program on June 29 will feature: 

• Mohammad Samii of Sammy’s Auto Electric will cover An Update on Newer Vehicle 

Technologies Related to Electrical Rebuilding; and Rebuilding Techniques for Some Newer, But Commonly Used Alternators and Starters

• Dennis Jacinto of Lester Catalog will give An Update on Lester Catalog and KwikFinder

A Nuts & Bolts Roundtable Discussion, moderated by Dan Smith of Arrowhead Electrical Products, and APRA’s Electrical Division Chairman and Dennis Jacinto; 

• Fred Feres of Exide Technologies will talk about Batteries; 

• Al Steadman with Litens Automotive Group will educate the group on the Latest Generation of Litens OAD; and 

• Randall Funck with WAIglobal will talk about the Root Cause Analysis of Failures. 

There will also be a Mini-Exposition for suppliers who wish to display their literature and small parts that will be open on June 29 prior to the start of the clinic, during lunch and the coffee breaks.
