Automotive Environmental and Safety Engineering is rolling out an electronic news service covering environmental, health and safety in vehicle maintenance facilities.

Automotive Environmental and Safety Engineering (AESE) is rolling out an electronic news service covering environmental, health and safety (EHS) in vehicle maintenance facilities (VMFs) for cars, trucks, buses and heavy equipment. Called eLine, it independently reports on EPA/OSHA enforcement actions, new and proposed rules and industry news of interest to VMF and EHS managers. eLine is a monthly and a re-start of the quarterly EnviroLine which started in 1991 and has been garaged since 2006.

David M. Augenstein, MSc, PEng, founder and director of AESE, is the publisher and has been in the EHS field for 40 years with 20 years specializing in VMFs. He helped train the early EHS managers in this industry with his Institute as far back as 1988. He is the author of the leading guidebooks on the subject provided to about 20,000 locations over the years. Augenstein says, “I am very happy to be back at the wheel and putting out these very affordable and informative bulletins again. As before, people will find it highly useful to keep updated with current news relevant to their jobs. They will look forward to receiving theirs each month on their desktops or mobiles.”

The April issue covered the new OSHA training rule on Hazard Communications in the shop, an EPA fine against a bus maintenance garage for illegal discharge, management tips from EHS managers over multi-state trucking VMFs, and fights over ethanol and new fuel/truck emission mandates. It also provides 30 other informative headlines with links such as stories on R-40 refrigerant contamination and defective air bags.

The current free sample can be viewed and shared with your associates at the AESE web http://e-fleet.us/enews where you may also subscribe yourself or a group (single rate is $95 for 12 issues). You may also call AESE at 875-330-1208 for more information.
