The annual Automotive Aftermarket Riders’ Club (AARC) “Ride for the Future” will change course this year, heading to Sedona, Ariz. to raise funds for the University of the Aftermarket Foundation. AARC seeks sponsors and pledges for its ride and plans to donate all proceeds to the foundation.
“Our annual AARC ride is a great start to Industry Week. Each year more industry professionals join us for an incredible three-day adventure, this time to scenic Sedona,” said Bill Maggs, lifetime trustee of the University of the Aftermarket Foundation and leader of the pack. “While we may have changed course, we still have the same worthwhile goal of raising awareness, as well as funds, for the University of the Aftermarket Foundation and its scholarships and educational programs.”
The AARC “Ride for the Future” will kick off on Thursday, Oct. 30 at 1 p.m. PT from the Las Vegas Harley-Davidson dealership and head to Williams, Ariz. On Friday, Oct. 31, the ride will veer south from its traditional route, as AARC riders will journey through Flagstaff, Sedona and the famous ghost town of Jerome, Ariz., traveling the historic scenic route 89A. After spending the final night in Williams, the riders will return to Las Vegas on Saturday, Nov. 1.
“We are always looking for new members to ride with us or, at the very least, to sponsor us,” said Mike Mohler, vice president of National Pronto Association. “The ‘Ride for the Future’ is a great time and worthy cause. Please contact me to get involved.”
