Jan. 1, 2020

The Automotive Management Institute (AMI), in conjunction with Arrowhead Automotive Aftermarket, recently announced Amanda Clements Mooney, vice president, C & C Automotive, Augusta, Ga., as the recipient of the Arrowhead Automotive Aftermarket “High Octane” Scholarship. The scholarship recognizes a management-oriented member of the Automotive Service Association (ASA) Mechanical Division. The recipient receives $1,000 to be applied toward expenses to attend educational sessions and view the latest repair technologies and equipment during the Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS), Oct. 16-18, in Las Vegas.

Mooney has worked in the automotive service industry for 12 years. She earned the Institute’s Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) designation in 2010 and is currently working to complete her Master’s Degree in Business from Regents University. When not working in the shop, she contributes her time to various community and industry organizations.

“I am extremely honored to be the recipient of this scholarship from AMI and Arrowhead Automotive Aftermarket. I appreciate both organization’s commitment to education and the betterment of our industry. This opportunity will allow me to further explore the abundance of management training available at ASRW,” said Mooney.

AMI was established to answer the demand for continuing education tailored specifically for the business needs of the automotive service industry. The Institute offers the Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) designation, the first business management accreditation exclusively for the automotive service professional. To date, AMI programs have attracted more than 225,000 enrollments throughout North America. AMI is a not-for-profit educational foundation to which tax-deductible contributions can be made.
