The Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA) has launched the third generation of its electrical wiring diagram Web site www.AutoElectricPro.com.

“AutoElectricPro was originally developed with remanufacturers, rebuilders, auto electric shops and transmission rebuilding shops in mind,” says APRA president Bill Gager.

Mark Kothe, APRA’s technical director says the site now contains 124,056 wiring diagrams (up from 98,547 in the second version) for more than 6,227 vehicle applications (up from 5,901) from 1985-2007. It is powered by information from Mitchell 1.

“With all the different types of electronics on today’s vehicles, there are many times when proper diagnostics is difficult,” says Gager. “AutoElectricPro helps APRA members save time and money by cutting down on the necessary research time to solve the problem(s) and satisfy their customers.”

“I use AutoElectricPro when I get calls from my garage customers who have problems with charging or starting systems,” states Mohammad Samii, owner of Sammy’s Auto-Electric Service, Inc. in Champaign, Ill. “Once I have the schematic open on my computer I can guide my customers with confidence. Together we can go over the system and I can help them figure out if they have something that isn’t wired correctly.  This added value to my service is the difference between me and my competition.”

Special subscriber rates to www.AutoElectricPro.com are $325 per year or $30 per month to APRA members.
