Toyota recall information now available in Mitchell 1 Manager SE

Mitchell 1’s Manager SE is the first auto repair shop management system to include the Toyota Active Recall notification capability.
Mitchell 1’s Manager™ SE is the first auto repair shop management system to include the Toyota Active Recall notification capability, it was announced today by Ben Johnson, director of product management for Mitchell 1.

“It is exciting to work with a company such as Toyota that truly values getting information to their customers in a timely manner,” said Johnson. “We are pleased they chose Mitchell 1 as the first company to work with due to our expertise with shop management systems. The collaboration extends our vision to be the preferred provider of information and management systems to the automotive aftermarket.”

Owners of newer vehicles regularly receive notifications from Toyota. At times, it can be more difficult to reach owners of older vehicles that are out of warranty or whose vehicles are not regularly serviced at Toyota dealerships. The new Toyota Active Recall feature helps ensure these owners are notified of Safety Recall actions that have not been performed on their vehicles.

When customers driving Toyota, Scion or Lexus models with unperformed recalls arrive at an independent auto repair shop that uses Mitchell 1’s Manager SE shop management system, the service writer is automatically notified if there are unperformed recalls to be done on the vehicle. The service writer can then display and print the recall information so the vehicle owner can be advised and take appropriate action.

Vehicle owners benefit as they are notified of the recall work that may be needed to keep their vehicles operating safely. Auto repair shop owners benefit because they can add value to their customer relationships by advising of necessary work, even if they may not perform the recall service.

Manager SE helps mechanical auto repair shops streamline workflow and track activity from estimate to invoice. The tools and reports in Manager SE give shops a 360-degree view of the entire operation, helping them manage repairs, customer service and the overall business more efficiently and profitably. Manager SE is integrated with ProDemand®, Mitchell 1’s comprehensive repair information system, to further increase shop productivity.
