Tenneco has introduced “Tech Talk” discussion forums to its www.monroe.comwww.monroebrakes.com and www.walkerexhaust.com websites to help vehicle repair professionals and do-it-yourselfers more quickly and accurately diagnose a wide range of vehicle performance issues and select and install the correct replacement ride control, brake and emissions control products. The Tech Talk forums are the latest in a series of content enhancements designed to ensure a superior user experience for the growing number of customers who perform research online.

Customers can use the Tech Talk forums to monitor discussions, and once registered as a user, they can post questions regarding any Monroe® or Walker® product or related repair. The forums are accessible through each brand’s home page, “Support” tab and electronic catalog. Customers looking up a specific product can also use the electronic catalog’s embedded Tech Talk tab to research others’ experiences and/or ask a question related to the corresponding part number. Other valuable information now available for each Monroe and Walker product includes detailed product images – many featuring 360-degree views – as well as product features and benefits, technical specifications and application fitment data.

“Tech Talk is another important resource that streamlines technician, service writer and consumer interaction with Tenneco and the Monroe ride control and brakes and Walker emissions control brands,” said Joe Bacarella, manager, product training and Technical Resource Centers, North America Aftermarket, Tenneco. “We have invested very aggressively in powerful new online resources that reflect and reinforce our position as a leading, trusted source of outstanding products and support.”

Each Tech Talk forum is moderated by Tenneco’s ASE-certified technical specialists, who respond to user questions and help guide discussions related to complex diagnostic and repair challenges. These specialists now also participate in a variety of other industry forums to offer appropriate technical insight in discussions of a wide range of repair issues.

Tenneco is an $8.4 billion global manufacturing company with headquarters in Lake Forest, Illinois, and approximately 29,000 employees worldwide. Tenneco is one of the world’s largest designers, manufacturers and marketers of clean air and ride performance products and systems for automotive, commercial truck and off-highway original equipment markets and the aftermarket. Tenneco’s principal brand names are Monroe®, Walker®, XNOx® and Clevite® Elastomer.
