MOTOSHOP Technology Tools contest to award $10,000 shop technology makeover

May 26, 2015
MOTOSHOP Technology ToolsSM, today launched a contest for commercial garages and repair shops that will award one grand prize winner up to $10,000 in new technology equipment and services.

MOTOSHOP Technology ToolsSM, a product portfolio from Advance Auto Parts, Inc. (NYSE: AAP), today launched a contest for commercial garages and repair shops that will award one grand prize winner up to $10,000 in new technology equipment and services to provide a shop technology makeover. Shops interested in entering the contest can submit their entry – a written response in 300 words or less detailing how you see technology improving your business and why your shop could benefit from a technology makeover – through July 31. See Official Rules at www.motoshop.com/contests.

“We want to help shops adapt to the rapid changes in technology that are influencing the aftermarket,” said Walter Scott, Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer for Advance Auto Parts. “We’re excited to launch this second MOTOSHOPSM contest as we continue to find ways to help shops serve their customers more effectively.”

One grand prize winner will receive up to $10,000 in new shop technology such as computers, tablets, printers, network hardware, online services and showroom TVs. Exact prize components will be determined following an assessment by our sponsor of your existing shop technology. The grand prize winner will also receive a yearlong subscription to the technology services provided by MOTOSHOPSM including MotoSHOP Shop Management SystemSM, MotoREV Shop MarketingSM, MotoLOGIC® Repair & Diagnostics and MotoSKILL® Shop Tech Training.

This is MOTOSHOP’s second shop technology contest. In 2014, Dave’s Pro Auto in Williamsport, Pa., received the grand prize technology makeover after entering the contest.

“MotoLOGIC® has made looking up technical information faster and easier with precise and clear wiring diagrams,” said Dave Bausinger of Dave’s Pro Auto. “Also, the faster computers and tablets cut down on time getting information to the techs in the shop.”

In addition to one grand prize recipient, MOTOSHOPSM will also award second and third place prize packages including:

·      Second Place: One year subscription to MOTOSHOP Technology ToolsSM, including MotoSHOP Shop Management SystemSM, MotoREVSM, MotoLOGIC® and MotoSKILL®

·      Third Place: One year subscription to MotoLOGIC® and MotoREV®
