Bosch debuted and demonstrated the first service drive inspection system with dealer management system (DMS) integration in North America at this year’s National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) expo. Through a partnership with AutoPoint, a leading provider of electronic multipoint inspection software (eMPI), data pulled from the Flex Inspect system will be automatically integrated with a DMS, allowing a faster and more efficient transfer of vehicle and customer data.

The integration of Flex Inspect data with the AutoPoint platform eliminates the need for time-consuming manual data entry across multiple systems and will help a dealer identify service needs based on the system’s report. Inspection points include tire tread depth and alignment, diagnostic trouble codes, battery health and tire pressure monitoring system readings, sent through the AutoPoint Action Plan and Know Your Vehicle reports to all major DMS providers in the U.S. and Canada.

Building on Bosch’s Connected Workshop strategy, Flex Inspect enables a process- driven workflow in the service lane to help drive scheduled maintenance and repair revenue by providing service advisors and customers a real-time vehicle health report in minutes. This enables a service advisor to inform the customer and right sell the required services identified by the Flex Inspect system.

“Flex Inspect has been proven to identify often-missed service needs in the service drive, helping build customer trust while driving increased revenue and profits,” said Mohan Sethi, Bosch Director of Global Product Management.  “Our partnership with AutoPoint will help optimize the customer write-up process, helping service managers identify training opportunities for service drive personnel utilizing industry-leading web-based management reporting.”

Bosch Flex Inspect with AutoPoint eMPI and DMS integration comprises:

• Tablet-driven customer interface

• MPI data including alignment readings, tire tread depth, diagnostic trouble codes, battery health, tire pressure monitoring system health and oil life indicators

• Customizable reports for dealer clients

• Cloud based reporting (enterprise level and single store)

AutoPoint eMPI is currently installed in nearly 1,500 dealerships in North America and is integrated with all major dealer management systems, in the U.S. and Canada.
