Ford, Mercedes and Volvo – for these three makes LIQUI MOLY is introducing new motor oils on the market. Special Tec 5W-20 F Eco, Top Tec 4700 and Special Tec V 0W-30 are being added to the line of products offered by the German motor oil and additive specialist. "We offer the right oil for practically every car on the road", stated Manfred Fischer, Export Area Manager at LIQUI MOLY.
LIQUI MOLY Special Tec F Eco was developed for the Eco Boost engines from Ford. Downsizing is one of the automobile manufacturers' major contributions to reducing fuel consumption. However these little power packages also have their disadvantages: More power from smaller engines means high thermal loads for the oil. And if the volume of oil in the engine is also reduced, the oil really begins to sweat. LIQUI MOLY has developed its new Special Tec 5W-20 F Eco to meet such severe conditions. With a viscosity of 5W-20 our Special Tec 5W-20 F Eco is a particularly thin oil, which reduces fuel consumption. "The challenge here is to guarantee that the engine is properly lubricated even under extreme conditions in spite of the low viscosity. We have been very successful in accomplishing this with our new oil", continued Fischer. The oil is officially approved by Ford under the number WSS-M2C948-B and, in addition to its suitability for Eco Boost engines, it is also approved for many other Ford models. Moreover it also fulfills API SN.
LIQUI MOLY Top Tec 4700 carries the new Mercedes Approval MB 229.52, which is prescribed for V6 Bluetec engines, such as those installed in M, S, G and E Models. It is also downwards compatible for the MB 229.51 and MB 229.31 and fulfills API SN. "With this one oil workshops can service nearly all current Mercedes models", explained Manfred Fischer. "Only exotic models such as the AMG require a different oil."
The third new oil is for Volvos: LIQUI MOLY Special Tec V 0W-30. LIQUI MOLY also offered special oils for Volvo drivers previously. "But it was important for us to be able to offer an oil developed especially for their engines", added Manfred Fischer. "An oil that is more than just 'suitable' for their cars, offering optimum characteristics." In addition to Volvos, this oil is also suitable for models from Mitsubishi, Renault, Jaguar and Honda.
