Three synergies maximize value in the automotive aftermarket

Aftermarket Business World columnist Brad Mewes says that understanding the role that synergies play is important in evaluating the merits of a merger or acquisition in his column, "3 synergies that maximize value in the automotive aftermarket."

He explains and evaluates the three synergies – revenue, cost and financial – that companies should enjoy during a merger or acquisition. If the synergies cannot be identified and quantified, than the acquisition does not make financial sense. He cites as examples recent aftermarket deals and explains the synergies that they aim to achieve.
