Companies across the automotive industry are working together to bring no-cost training at NACE Automechanika Chicago to as many automotive professionals as possible. Using scholarships and co-marketing programs to extend their reach, these companies are capitalizing on opportunities to gather thousands of technicians and other professionals for four days of high-quality training.

NACE Automechanika, the largest U.S. trade show dedicated to high-end technical and management-related training for automotive service and collision repair shops, takes place July 26-29 at McCormick Place West in Chicago. Registration for the show is open now.

Joining forces with NACE Automechanika in their vision of training the industry, Technicians Service Training (TST), the Automotive Management Institute (AMi) and National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) have partnered with the UBM Community Engagement Program to present scholarships covering travel expenses to NACE Automechanika Chicago for a number of attendees. Two highly qualified mechanical repair experts already have been awarded scholarships from TST. Joel Widrick, owner of Widrick Truck & Diesel Service in Carthage, N.Y., and Robert Kenney, a technician at Gil’s Garage in Burnt Hills, N.Y., were awarded scholarships at the TST Big Event in late March.

“Being able to team up with the UBM Community Engagement Program and provide these deserving technicians with scholarships thrills me,” said G. Jerry Truglia, president of TST. “The need for training is so great in our industry. Having the opportunity to make sure more technicians and owners not only are able to get to the show, but also can share the ability with their employees is something that is incredible. I know they will really benefit from the training as well as having the entire trip covered.”

Scholarships for educators and students still are available from NATEF, while automotive professionals with a military background can apply for scholarships from AMi. Applications are being accepted at naceautomechanika.com/scholarships.

Exhibiting companies are also signing up for the free Partner Rewards Program to extend their marketing efforts and reach more automotive professionals. The Partner Rewards Program is a one-for-one matching program. For each marketing promotion a company produces encouraging its customers to attend NACE Automechanika Chicago, an equal promotion is sent to potential attendees through the widely recognized Motor Age, ABRN and Aftermarket Business World publications.

“The Partner Rewards Program doubles our exhibitors’ reach in promoting their participation and activities at NACE Automechanika Chicago,” said Jim Savas, vice president and general manager of the UBM Automotive Group. “When companies show us the marketing they create for the July event, we are able to easily promote their presence and same message to our audience, giving them an even broader reach for no extra cost. We hope to help each of our partners achieve amazing results at the show through this program.”

The program targets attendees for both the mechanical and collision training offered at NACE Automechanika Chicago. All mechanical training courses are provided at no cost thanks to support from industry companies and organizations, many of which are utilizing this additional program.

“We at ATSG have an in-depth focus on training, and being able to extend our reach to bring more technicians to our transmission-related courses is the obvious choice,” said Daniel R. Gonzalez, digital marketing director with ATSG, an exhibitor and training provider at NACE Automechanika Chicago. “We are taking advantage of several areas of the Partner Rewards Program, including emails, banner ads, blogs and social media. Any help you can receive from the show organizers is something every company should take advantage of, especially when it comes at no additional cost.”

The Partner Rewards Program is open to any trainer or exhibitor at NACE Automechanika Chicago. To join the program and start receiving your rewards, contact Tschanen Brandyberry at [email protected].

NACE Automechanika Chicago features more than 140 training courses covering a variety of mechanical management and technical topics at no cost. Free training continues on the show floor inside the OE Coliseum Training Theatre, through demonstrations on the I-CAR stage and at the Automechanika TRAIN Station. Not to be missed, more than 40 collision-focused courses are also available throughout the week.

Additionally, exhibitors and attendees are invited to the Business Outlook Conference focusing on legislation, telematics, compliance, technology and their impact on the automotive industry and market. Registration is open for the event taking place over two mornings, July 26 and 27. There are several other co-located events taking place during NACE Automechanika Chicago including the annual MSO Symposium and the Advanced Technology & Diagnostic Repair Forum.

You can view a full list of co-located events, training sessions, register for courses and receive a free expo pass at: www.NACEAutomechanika.com. Additional courses and educational opportunities will be added to the July event in weeks leading up to the show.
