Election to the Hall of Fame represents the highest honor bestowed by the AIA, a segment of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association, which promotes trade in automotive products between the international automotive community and the North American aftermarket. The AIA Hall of Fame award honors outstanding individuals in the import automotive industry who have enhanced the stature of, and significantly contributed to, the import industry segment and its overall growth and progress. Mr. Perticari has been a proactive member in the association since 1992.

“It’s truly an honor to be recognized by the Auto International Association for its Hall of Fame,” stated Perticari after being inducted at the AIA Awards Ceremony at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas during the 2012 AAPEX show. “I have a great deal of respect and admiration for all of the individuals who are in the AIA Hall of Fame, and have had the privilege of working with many of them of the over the years. I am very humbled and deeply honored by this award.”

Perticari’s significant achievements in the industry have led to numerous honors, including being named AIA Lifetime Achiever in 1998, AIA Person of the Year in 2002 and chairman of AIA, 2006-’09. While he was carving out an impressive career and building relationships in the industry, he found the time to give back to the industry by serving a variety of organizations, including the Automotive Sales Council, AIA Board of Directors, AAPEX Show Committee and, currently, the MERA Sales and Marketing Council.

Tony Perticari has spent over 43 years in the automotive parts industry. He got his start in the automotive aftermarket with Sun Oil Co. in 1969 as motor products representative in southern New Jersey, ultimately overseeing 22 full-service gas stations. He joined the Robert Bosch Corp. in 1973 as a territory representative calling on domestic and import WDs, while building the sales of import parts and expanding Bosch’s distribution. He served in various capacities including national account manager, Mid-Atlantic district sales manager, and East Coast zone manager.

In 1986, Perticari joined Crown Remanufacturing, Inc., a small parts remanufacturer company in Philadelphia, Pa., as national sales manager and eventually became VP of sales and marketing. During his tenure at Crown, Perticari helped build the company into a nationally known brand and the largest import-only remanufacturer in the U.S.

Perticari went to work for CARDONE Industries in 2006, where he developed an import parts program under the Autoline Import brand and helped launch the company’s Diesel Program.

Currently, Perticari is the Director of Sales-special Markets at USA Industries of Bay Shore, N.Y., a leading parts remanufacturer serving the automotive aftermarket, where he works on new market development and special projects.
